Hi... tried for hours to do some research on a company offering me some stocks but im getting more and and more suspicious.

Long story short:
Got a call from a marketing firm asking if im interested in investment opportunities one morning. They said someone will call me from a firm they are doing work for.

Got a call a few weeks later from a very well spoken british gentleman about 4weeks back saying they he would like to offer me an opportunity with Tesla Motors shares. Suggested a $5000 initial investment. I had the money spare and thought it may be a decent idea.

I declined his offer as i was not ready at the time and just felt a little suspicious. Loan behold the shares increased and i was a little gutted. (yes sounds like a perfect scam)

He called me again today and said he would like to offer me once more and if im not interested he understands and will leave it there.

He says hes calling from Taipei in taiwan, the company mainly works with institutions but opens up a couple of times a year to private individuals.

I dont want to mention the name of the company right now as i think it may affect your advice.
They have a website but im struggling to find much more than that.
The number they are calling me from is a Taiwan registered number .
The guy really does talk sense which is what is getting to me as i would have thought i could have caught him out on some of the stuff he says.

unless of course mr dreadable YOU are trying to scam us

i think i was really just trying to get another person to confirm what i already suspected.
helps close that doubt in your mind.

thanks for the confirmation itspossible

just now crapping myself for the future calls. at least i only gave my spam email address and not my work address.
is it worth me even trying to report this to someone?

A start would be to put their company name in this thread so a Google search for their company name yields this thread.

And they are likely based in Taiwan for a reason - Taiwan don't care.
