Hi

Has anyone heard of this academy or know any traders that have been through it?

Its part of aldersgate investment management group?

Just thought id get some feedback on here

yep looks like you will be given the old reverse sale technique. They will make you feel specially selected after passing a test and then say you need to make a contribution towards training. I could be wrong, call them and ask

Well they were very up front with me, you pay for a selected course, do the theory, pass an exam then do some mentored trading. I am on the understanding that they employ people that show potential within the mentored trading period.

Dont want to get stung but i want a path into becoming a trader

why not learn yourself, theres so much on here and elsewhere. There is no quick solution im afraid

That is exactly what London Global Investments were offering. They seem to have disappeared now. Were they upfront about that?

If someone was able to teach you to extract money from the markets with a view to backing you and taking a split... why would they need to charge you for it?

Ahh the classic conundrum !

yep,and why would they bother to spend weeks teaching you, when they could do it for themselves

they told me what we pay is a quarter of the actual cost of putting a student through their training programme..............hmmmmmm

If that's the case they'd be bankrupt. I'd be surprised if 2 or 3% of their students make money. The business model is all about taking training fees and then giving people a quarter of it back to trade, then when they can't make money in the first month or two they get binned.

I saw on London Global investments website that they mentioned Aldersgate Investment Management http://www.aimllp.co.uk/ is it the same company.

They been around since 2006, they don't look like a scam
