Hi people this is my first post so bare with me.

I am currently looking to become a FOREX or a Commodities trader in the city, but as i have no previous experience or degree this is proving very difficult. I have came across a couple of companies which offer to train you (for a nice fee) but could offer you a permeant position at the end. The companies are GTEX Global and London Global Investments. Im very aware that these could be scams.

Has anyone done any of these courses? or know of any legit companies that will train you up?

Also I am doing a course with training traders, so hopefully I will be able to get a decent start and some good experience trading my own money.

Thanks.

Gtex and lgi are mentioned here already, training traders were also mentioned but due to a lot of criticism they had all comments deleted from t2w. Dont waste your money on any of these schemes, it's money down the drain.

Apparently LGI have an open day coming up soon, their PR manager was on here offering free flights and manly liaisons to board members, it was kind of weird.

Thanks, deff seems a bit iffy. U know of any decent companies that take novices in to train up?

your best bet waxon given your lack of qualifications or contacts is to do ALOT of research and reading, find yourself a decent mentor who isnt too expensive and go it alone. but only if you really really want to be a trader.

might be a better idea to just get a normal job

Yea. Get a job and just read books and information on the internet and build up a decent strategy around your work. Build up a statement and send it off.

Your comments have been helpful gents. I already have a well paid job but its completely un-thrilling and agro, so I will learn what I can from the training traders course (Hopefully its decent) and trade my own account for the next couple of years, this may help me in getting a trading jobs in the city.

Does anyone have a opinion on Mike Baghdadys "Trade what you see" approach?

I've got an opinion on Baghdady, but it's probably not one I can post without getting a solicitor's letter a few days later.

Seriously, ask pboyles about him, he'll tell you all you need to know. Whatever you do, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON COURSES LIKE THAT.

pboyles lets whats ur opinion on Mike Baghdady? Have you done the course or had any dealings with him???

Thanks

Hi, can you PM me too? , I'm in a similar situation and want to find some professional training, but don't obviously want to waste my money

Dont waste your money with any of these so called professionals. They are professional marketers, not professional traders, as we have seen many times.

Good vendors/trainers normally don't take legal action against anyone because surprise surprise nobody complains. Something to do (so they tell me) about the original marketing backing up the goods that were delivered.

Read into that what you will.

Hi,could you PM me as well please about Baghdady? I just attended his free ` workshop` which wasn't much more than a general discussion and they showed me a couple of trades on the screens. Afterwards they tried to sign me up for one of their courses which cost over 4k. I also did the test for the 'New Turtle traders' that they advertise. I still don't really know what to think of them...

Hi people. I have just discovered this tread
Maybe I am wrong, but I am thinking of applying to Baghdady course for daytrading. I have seen all his free videos and I had the impression that his methodology is quite solid compared to that What I have seen and taken until now (not all the methodology have all the components he has). I was following a few of his weekly sessions on weekly preparation (for 17 $ a session is not took much) and than I tryed to apply the levels he gave and the currencies he was choosing for the week and I was doing well enough to make some pips even if i do not know all his rules. For me it is quite a lot. I have taken 2 courses from different vendors in the past: 1 was cheap the other was expansive. Both didn't give me a complete methodology. Each of those approaches was working under certain market conditions but nobody was telling me how to assess these conditions and I am sure the vendors themself didn't really know how to assess them. Baghdady approach is more complete, from what I have seen until now. He has a weekly and daily market assessment and a daily and weekly portfolio selection. I am not connected to his company or with him in any way but my impression until now is not too bad. Has anybody taken one of his courses? The price is quite high so ........ Would be glad of any opinion, also against his methodology, but something substantial, maybe sombody who has seen all his free videos and has taken some of his weekly sessions and would tell me his impression..
bye

Unfortunately thats not a question that can be answered on T2W. He has taken legal action to prevent T2W publishing information about him and his courses. I will PM you.

Didn't know someone could do that.. what happened to freedom of information :cheesy:

And Lula it looks like all the information you need is clearly in the thread but you are choosing to ignore it...

There is plenty of information about him but he has sought to have it suppressed through legal action. Needless to say it was negative information, hence the need to suppress it.

Ask yourself this question, if you had a good system you would trade it and make yourself a lot of money, right? How much money did Baghdady make last year from trading? For the answer send me a PM because if I mention it here the thread will get deleted.
