Anybody Earning in Day trading regularly??

hi day traders,

i am pure daytrader.. and i love day trading.

i am four years experience and still in loss... i hope, in future i will earn profit from daytrading..

my biggest doubt is "anybody earning in day trading" its possible !!!

all traders thinking "i will earn in future" ???

can we do daytrading as fulltime job and earn regularly...
pls reply.

No, mate, day trading is a hobby.

If you have just some bucks to spend, you do day trading.
If you have thousands to spend, you do fox hunting. It's more funny.

my dear nvp,

My system is some times buy at bottom and sell at top and sometimes sell at bottom and buy at top.. I cant follow particular system., (i am trading in NSE india market)

Im day trading fulltime using trendsignal and regulary hit 100+ pips per day. If you have the right system and rules you can make money from day trading.

I`ve been daytrading for years and still making a living at it--deal smallish sizes and try and keep losses to a minimum works for me. Steady Eddy not going for glory. EG just shorted WS for 35 pips and out.

There's where you're going wrong :LOL:

Seriously though, you haven't given a strategy, which suggests you don't have one, or you're hiding it (but why hide a losing strat). This may be one of the reasons you've been losing for 4 years. Decide on a clear strategy: reasons for entry, reasons for exit, which markets to trade, where to place a stop, how much to risk etc . Then explain it, as NVP asked for, and then you'll get some advice.

frankly i am telling.. i have not following any strategy..
but i know why loss cames...
some times i over trade, , no discipline,,, no strategy... books profit soon...

there is no current system which i am following..

just i open my trading sofware and just doing intraday..
i traded with greed and fear that i know.. sometimes over trade,.. no discipline.. but i cannot control these activities

in future i follow the strategy, discipline,, avoid fear and greed.

Then you will continue to lose. Do you want to win? 4 years and not even the beginnings of a strategy, what have you been doing with all that time!

Follow the post I gave above. Find a strategy, a clear one, trade it (demo account). Get feedback from other traders if you feel necessary, and improve strategy. Rinse and repeat, until maybe one day you have something worthwhile. If you continue to flail around randomly with no strategy, then you inhibit your learning process.

If you have no ideas on how to develop a strategy, there was a very good post by BBmac only the other day. He didn't give an exact strategy, but he explained the thought processes behind strategy development, and what you need to know (and he only gave the beginnings!). Go learn, go develop.

Or just continue to waste more years trading cluelessly, trying to get someone to give you a strategy.
 
Another good idea will be actual writing down your trading plan on a physical piece of paper. You can find a template for a trading plan somewhere on T2W here, also, keep a trading journal to keep track of your progress.

Balthazar has it right, in my case, at least. Why am I happy with the way I trade? Because I am retired and do this as pure pastime.

The thought of earning a fulltime living from it, especially as a family man, horrifies me, frankly.

I take extra spending money out of this--not salary. That means that I may get annoyed when I lose but I don't get worried about it. That's a big plus in getting successful.
