Hi all,
What is the huge difference between demo and live accounts as i was about to open a live account with GFT to scalp the FTSE with a regual 2 point movement?

It is known that one of the most important feature in trading for scalpers is the speed of orders execution. But not only this. I think that one more essential tool for a scalper is a panel for active order management. Does anyone know platforms with such usable panels?

I'm no expert or anything but I would think the most important feature in trading for scalpers is that the trader actually know what the f@ck he is doing. Otherwise the fastest order execution on the planet just means quicker losses.

IMO.

GFT will only let you do that if you're a consistent looser.

Every trader, not only a scalper must know what he’s doing As for order execution-if it is fast you can BOTH win and loose money quickly, your profit and loss depends from your trading strategy and also from your trading platform. So, I would like to hear your opinions concerning this thread “best scalping platform”. Come on, gyus, does anyone of you know good platforms for scalping?

I use SpreadCo as they have a 0.8 spread. It is OK for scalping, but can be exposed to dealer requotes when markets are turbulent, and when stake is high (£50+). Although most of the time it is good, those times when getting requoted can be very crucial moments.

I think people refer to this as slippage?

Actually, slippage and requote ar not the same things.

Slippage is a differnce between the price by which you wanted your order to be opened and the real price by which your order was opened. We have slippages if we trade with direct acces to market.
And requotes occur in all these bucket shops. It's when you send an order and your broker tells you that such price doesn't exist any more and offers you another price which is more profitable for the broker itself.
