corn 2008

hi everybody .. what views do have about corn ... is corn waiting for a mjor correction ..

Whenever I see a question I like this I am reminded of Keynes excellent quote: "Markets can remain irrational longer than you or I can remain solvent."

I see current levels as an excellent buying opportunity due to the S/R pivot that is about to come into play.

unless price breaks through the pivot level and continues onward. why have an opinion until price shows you what it's doing to do, or is actually doing ?

The rally in grains as with a lot of commodities is merely a reflection of the devaluation of your fiat currency. People d not see the fact that fiat currencies are being devalued as a group. Consider what is the best return you can achieve in US savings - maybe 5% then consider that M3 is growing at 20% per year. Only way to preserve any capital you have is to invest in real things like food and energy. These grain rallies are not flash in the pan they are simple reflection of the screwed up monetary policy that is leading to the destruction of the fiat currency system. Make no mistake, we are all doomed.

Corn Traders

Not many posts here really want to get dialog going here.
I have started watching corn for the last few months & planning to start trading soon. Anyone want to join discussion come on in!!

Grains maybe finding support. In a trading range now I like up side trades.
A break either way on weather or news is a good trade.

Hi,

at what extend do you use/rely on reports on weather or crops?

I mean... I trade Corn futures just reading the book.

Do you all think that reports are really useful?

Greetings from Europe :)

You can definetly trade Corn using the book but obviously the reports are extremely useful.

I always like to be appraised of the fundamentals on the Ags.

thx

Actually, I would like to have a better idea of the mid-term situation by following this reports.

Do you think that info in CME website is enough??
Any better source of info?

:)

Weather is big factor with corn this time of year. I'm looking to buy in next few weeks. Have a feeling bull market has started for corn. best hedging trade would be to sell soybean and buy corn. I'm just wary of any sharp rise in dollar.

Could be trouble ahead for corn in china won't affect market right away
Big report by US on 12th Aug likely big market mover
