Does anyone know of a broker that allows traders to trade/invest in high yield (or "junk" bond) trading? Thanks for any help.

Our company used to 2 years ago, but we removed due to not sufficient interest. Now we have "things" :) like Swaptions, swaps to some industrial clients, but CFDS and FX to retails. If you are that interested maybe we can even relaunch the program about that again?? What kind of conditions are you looking for, thanks.

Any broker will be able to buy/sell these instruments on a clients behalf, whether or not they will is another matter. And I would be very surprised if they were able to offer you any advice on these things. Main problem is that the UK doesn't have well developed market at the retail level, historically we've had an equity culture.

Also bear in mind that some of this stuff ("distressed debt" is the polite euphamism for it) is not gonna have a vanilla structure and that your broker is NOT going to be able to rely on Bloomberg to accurately describe let alone model this (eg amortising fixed/float FRN's)

If you're talking bonds listed on an exchange (and I believe most are) then any stock broker could make the trade for you - unless they just flat out don't do bonds. I'd venture to say that most of the bigger names do, though.

Why not just by an ETF ? - ishares do loads.. had a quick look and found.
•State Street’s SPDR Lehman High Yield Bond (JNK: 39.96 0.00 0.00%): 13.6% yield
•iShares iBOXX $High Yield Corporate Bond (HYG: 89.14 0.00 0.00%): 11% yield
•PowerShares High Yield Corporate Bond (PHB: 18.37 0.00 0.00%): 11.5% yield

they trade like shares and any broker should be able to execute an order for you.
