RBC, Qestrade, Etrade, or IB

Hello,

I am using Canada RBC directing account to buy shares now, but the commision fee is so expensive.
it's $28 every trade, so I am thinking maybe switch to Questrade; it's relatively cheaper, $4~$9 every trade. But I am kindaf worry about that company.
It's small compare to RBC, will that bankrupt or something like that cause me to lost money?

If you're just buying shares, should be fine as long as as your money is kept seperate. Not 100% sure of BC regulation regarding this. Depending how often you trade, could look at Disnat https://www.disnat.com/en/trading/trading_solutions.asp too
