Hi, I'm looking for a futures broker to trade FTSE future & S&P mini. Does anyone recommend Velocity Futures or Tradestation? Also, are UK residents confident about using US brokers?

GNI Touch are pretty good

Not sure about Velocity Futures but a lot of members here use Tradestation - seems to be the home standard.

Shouldn't be a problem using US brokers, just make sure you know what your rights are and what protections are available if they 'misplace' your money or go busto.

Also, take a look at futures betting, a spreadbet firm with a difference. It may suit your requirements:

Cheers Jaydee. I looked at GNI Touch and my goodness they are soooo expensive (in a rip-off way for what you get), so I cannot even consider them. I've looked into futures betting, but I was looking for a broker as opposed to a Spread Better, even though Futures Betting is perhaps like a cross between the two. I think I'll probably go with Tradestation, but I always feel a little anxious about having funds deposited abroad. You are right, some how need to find out consumer rights.
