I have been tossing around the idea of giving them a shot because of the intraday margin? Just curious if anyone has ever used them and what you think about the company? Thanks

I knew the "big shots" would come out over Easter!

Seriously though, I can't help you but lets hope there are some out there who can.

I'd be willing to trade an 18th century American Coast Cannon for a French 36lb Naval Gun of the same vintage? Collect only, sorry.

A fair swap. I'll be around tomorrow, should be ok on my bike with a few bungee straps. :)

I was introduced to Cannon by a friend late last year and have been very pleased with the service and support so far. I trade electronically with direct connection of my charting software to TransAct Futures backend. The combination is good - TransAct platform is stable and the Cannon service on top is excellent.

Well, this response comes long after your initial inquiry, and you have probably made your choice by now, but I've had a very positive experience with Cannon Trading. My account with them began around February of 2009. I had only used one other trading platform (a VERY clumsy one) prior to using the TransAct AT with Cannon, so I can't compare against Ninja, etc. But I like the TransAct AT a lot.

It happens that ALL of my trades are pre-entered on a stop or limit. I never use the "buy mkt" or "sell mkt" buttons, so slippage isn't an issue for me. And it's easy enough to move the targets around, except during the very most frenetic times. But my approach may be quite dissimilar to yours.

I am quite fond of the people at Cannon. Ilan Levy-Mayer has impressed me terrifically. Arthur Levitt famously remarked: "Your broker is not your friend." I think he might have qualified that statement if he had ever gotten to know Ilan. Kim and his other associates define the term "responsive". And they're cheerful.

I'm inserting a photograph of Bernard Baruch because he's one of the "good guys" of trading.
