quote tracker and IB
hey

I just installed quote tracker, because the charts in Interactive Brokers are pretty rubbish. I am trying to set quote tracker up, getting real tiem (or even short delays) on quote tracker, but I cant, how can that be done?

There is no cost to using the IB API so you will be fine

prometeo1984 started this thread crap - i just realized quote tracker allows u only to go back to 6months in historical charts. is there any way i can extedn that without having to pay? and is quote trader better?

With IB as a datafeed I doubt you will be able to go back much beyond that anyway. How far are you hoping to go back ?

In my view it is highly unlikely that you will be able to get free data that goes back 18 months. Even some of the paid data services don't go back as far as that. Of the paid services I would think that eSignal is probably one of the ones that will go back that far. The other possibility is that you purchase historical data from someoner like disktrading which can be found from this link:
