Anyone use them? I need to find a new brokerage firm. I know they're option specialists & I trade equities in the U.S. but they seem very professional. Their fees are a bit higher than some of the other more popular brokerages that I know of (IB, TradeStation) but it sounds like they offer more in the way of other services.
Just looking for positive/negative feedback.

Do you have to pay monthly fees on ThinkorSwim if you are not trading?
Do you have on IB?

there aren't any data fees... you can negotiate with them on fees if your doing half decent size... they've got very plenty of favorable feedback on various other forums... their software is pretty cool, they don't offer Futures options though....

I think I recall Brian Shannon saying on one of his daily market reports at YouTube - thermal1's Channel
that he uses thinkorswim software. If I'm right, though I don't care for the grey background you will see him using various tools and features in each video clip and it looks OK.

im thinking of going with these guys. I want to trade equities. I will only be able to trade 3 times per week as I dont have the required $25000 though.

I have only ever know spreadbetting, so after doing a bit of research on various brokers like IB, MBtrading etc, my head is spinning. Data fees, seperate charting packages, inactivity fees, charges for getting money out etc, etc. Not used to it at all, lol!

Am I right in thinking that thinkorswim dont charge for their platoform or for data? (remember I wanna trade US stocks)

How much do they charge to send money to me (a cheque would be fine)

Anyone trade with them and can give me a general review>#?

thanks

edit: This might not even matter in fact. Cant find a straight answer, but i think they are for US reidents only?
