Pattern day traders rules

Dear Brothers & Sisters:

One simple and quick question: If I open an Interactive Broker individual account with 10K deposit, and I'm a day trader around 8 executions per day. I'm stay in Asia, Singapore. Do I needs to follow the Pattern Day traders rules set by SEC?, or I need to deposit $25000 to fulfill the requirment? Many thanks.

You have to. But IB offers CFD shares which don't need follow PDT rule.
