hi all,
i am curious to know your opinion. I would like to trade european bonds, germany, france, italy etc etc.

What is the best platform?

I am not sure if IB support these assets quoted in USD.

Any idea?

You can't trade cash bonds, so why don't you trade futures? EUREX has futures for Germany, France and Italy.

You need to be a much much bigger fish to trade cash bonds...

Well, I am not planing to be like Soros that in January went long in 2 billion euros of Italian bond.
I am doing well with IB with US bonds but i am not aware of any similar service for the European market. Is there any political reason for that? Am I not aware of some big things?

What are you able to do in IB w/US bonds? Can you short?

Mainly buy on margin. No short. No settlement for futures.

Btw, IB provides ETF for EU bonds but still not cash bonds.
