What is direct access i keep seeing this on the boards especially in connection with SB accounts, recommended to use instead of sb accounts. Is it trading cfds?

also i trade the daily dow is that possible with direct access

i would be grateful for some advice thank you

Direct Access means trading with someone like www.interactivebrokers.co.uk

You can trade Dow futures (known as YM) on eCBOT for £4.12/round turn. Each point on the mini Dow is worth $5, with a 1 point "spread" typically.

thanks for the information, does anyone have a £ account with interactivebrokers and is it easy to transfer money in and out?

Yes, it is very easy. Funds are transferred direct to your bank account.
