Hi,

I'm desperately looking for a decent Emini broker with reliable datafeed and execution speed.

I'm with PFG at the moment, but the connection is just terrible. I use ThinkOrSwim just for charting (Composite Market Profile), and my NT platform (connected to PFG) is literally always slower than the ThinkOrSwim.

That means, the only fills I would get would be the losing trade.

I've been told that Infinity Futures has a solid connection and service, but their platform (Seirra) was not really user friendly.

Can anyone please recommend me a good broker with solid speed, no delay, and reasonable commissions.

Thank you in advance.

Ryan,

just to add one more,

I would really like to know what you think is the best data feed provider.

I've been told that Zen fire had small and large issues just too often, and PAT is the worst from what is available.

PFG does not give tick data beyond 3 days ago, and chart is always delayed. (has anyone experienced placing a limit order, and market just ignores it as actual price has already moved away?)

Thank you so much in advance!

Ryan

i've used tradestation and they've so far proved to be very good - i had an issue which turned out to be my ISP, but the tradestation techies were very good in helping me locate the precise issue. That said, i have to say that I also use CQG Trader through Velocity - CQG is also a very good connection and velocity commissions are super-cheap (for a retail trader). for charting, i would also recommend prorealtime...both Velocity and Tradestation are both well worth looking in to.

Hi Gary,
I'm with Infinity and they are by far the best broker I've used, the other two being TradeStation and IB. I don't recognize the criticism that their platform is not user friendly at all. On the contrary, it's infinitely (forgive the pun) easier than the other two. Orders are routed directly to the exchange, they don't sit on their own servers - as is the case with TS I believe. In my case, commissions with Infinity are 25% cheaper than TS - that was the main reason that prompted my switch. Yep, you read that right, it's not a typo', 25% lower! And their customer service is fantastic. Basically, I can't speak highly enough of them! E-mail them, FAO Markus Zielbauer - he'll look after you.
Cheers,
Tim.

you should check out postrockglobal.com. I have been with them since last year. best customer svc and extreme low commission with good platforms and data feed

MB Trading is a direct-access broker, has stocks, futures, options, and forex, and the ES is at the time of this writing $2.11 per side to anyone with $2000 or whatever their minimum account is. You can use Ninjatrader or Quotetracker if you don't like their regular platform for some reason, and their customer service is generally very good or better.

They were rated Barron's #1 frequent-trader broker for 2010, so they must be doing something right.

Infinity's very good - but I still use Global because they gave me a $300 margin on the e-minis, which means each $50 point is 16%, as opposed to 10% when my margin was $500

I have an account with Infinity and they are decent. Their rates for beginner's are higher on the Nymex products as compared to Optimus futures which is the cheapest I have found (without having an exchange membership that is). If you inquire about Optimus, ask for Matt, I can vouch for him personally.
