How many hours per day to you trade?

About 2-3 hours. I don't trade manually though. I code my strategies, so the EA is trading, but I do keep an eye on its action. I wouldn't want to trade manually, because this would be too big an emotional stress. It is much better to have your strategy automated. The strategy must be backtested and optimized extensively, so that you can be calm and confident.

I do demo trading for 1 hour daily, which helps me to perform better because of practice.

Not even one hour a day. No idea how people spend so much time on it. Most at that point are over-thinking and under trading.

I may "trade" over an eight hour period, but this takes less than a minute each hour to check/execute.

Not more than 3-4 hours. I prefer trading manually and do not go for EAs. I do not find them very efficient.

It depends. Some days I trade for 3-4 hours, and there are days when I don’t trade at all and just sit and watch the charts.

Do make sure you EA chooses markets that don’t hurt cuddly bunnies.

I only trade when the market is hot. I wait for action with Market Beats app's notification, it tracks activity for me and signals when the markets buzzing. Easy peasy!

Maybe different traders have different times to trade forex. Some traders may spend time only 1 hour, others might spend more time over 4 hours daily, and traders who use trading bots could leave the chart and let their bot work for them with profit or loss results. I spent time trading for around 2-4 hours, most trade in London overlapping the New York market session.

Most of the time all day long, but I am trying to limit myself in terms of how often I actually check and review my analysis. Usually my phone's alarm clock rings about 8-10 times a day, so I can check the markets for about 5-15 minutes.

Maybe each trader spends a varying duration of time trading forex, some may only spend 1-2 hours, and some may spend 4-8 hours. Whatever the duration of time for trading, every trader needs rest to sleep at night. Even though he is sleeping, it is still possible to make a profit if there are still open positions to reach the profit target.
