Doomy's back and he's about to butthurt the AUD/USD

Yeah ok going from 3x times better in 2012 to 2013's results and equity going sideways for an extended period of time isn't the nicest situation to be in but comes with the territory, some better years, some not so eh, you're still way beyond what most would happily sell their wives or girlfriends for to achieve.

;)

But if you really liked Ninja and did better with that than I'd say go back to what you felt comfortable with when the new version is out ?

I know switching brokers / platforms etc is always a hassle, I'm at tradestation at the moment but thinking of moving over to some European broker with account protection, and above all who offers a € acct, but not really looking forward to getting accustomed to a new platform again and some inevitable idiosyncrasies lol !

 Tell me about it, had stages of thinking I might suss multicharts,
realised the curve I was up against so yeah, pretty much Ninja now (YM or ES).
No current NT8 release date I'm aware of.

Lumpy returns, yeah, thats the thing, I know it myself,
sitting through it is something else though, I know I can do better,
which is the most annoying part of it - the gulf between idea and practical
realisation in code.
Hence looking into discretionary entry and Ninja ATM.

I think you trade DAX yes?
Tough one for Euro futures brokers, quite a few FX ones though.
Pretty sure you already know all of these, but can't hurt.

Berkeley is the only one I know of, not great RT costs though.

Anyway, for doom, as this thread is in danger of de-railing,
a consistent approach is the key, and keep tight control of your risk.
Its the only thing you do have control over.

Hi thanks a lot for that brokers lists, crikey I've been through a few, Refco was one of my first before they exploded, or, umm, imploded or whatever, happily after I'd moved on. And then last year that other big broker going bust, the one being run by ex Goldman CEO Corzine, forget the name at the moment, too many slipups like there in the US for my taste, so gonna bring my money back home closer to Daddy is the plan.

Yeah most of what I do is DAX and FGBL, Bund.

RT's not that big a deal, the US boys are better at that than here, but I don't do more than say max a couple of trades / day, so it's not thaaaat big an issue.

But you're right, let's not derail Doomsies thread to much anymore.

Doomsy one word of advice, go and buy Mark Douglas excellent book Trading in the Zone.

Gonna be a life and career changer if you listen to him and have the discipline to follow through.

Good luck anyway.
