Spinning top

From Traderpedia

Definition:
Candlestick lines that have small bodies with upper and lower shadows that exceed the length of the body.

The length of the shadows - if they have them at all - may vary, but what is constant about spinning tops is their small body. The 'Spinning Top' represents indecision just as the Doji does, however these are a somewhat milder version and can often be found during periods of consolidation.

The Spinning Top is also a candlestick that is found as a component of other candlestick patterns such as morning star or evening star formations, which are formed with two or three candlesticks in formation.
