Sometimes referred to as "at the market", market orders are usually filled immediately by the market maker or exchange. There will be bid/offer price displayed and a sell order will most likely be filled at the bid price and a buy order will be filled at the ask price. However market orders can be subject to slippage, especially in a fast market. |
