Best Trading Film
10/10
This seems to be the best movie about the stock market and what goes on behind the scenes in the pump-and-dump parasitic world that we all know or have heard about. extremely well written and played, incredibly entertaining, a great story.

Wall Street for the internet era.
9/10
Highly recommend this film. The underlying scam may be a little too far fetched but don't let that detract from the overall film.

Its energetic, fast-paced, with dialogue of the quality found in Glen Gary Glen Ross (very good). Unlike Wall Street which was a masterpiece from a top director with two major stars at the time, Boiler Room takes relatively unknown actors , and makes them into stars. Giovanni Ribisi (better known as Phoebe's weird brother in Friends) is perfect as the lead, while Vin Diesel actually puts in a star performace. Even Ben Affleck has a show stealing scene that is worth watching over and over.

Boiler Room pays homage to the films in its genre (ie it borrows heavily) but it pulls it off and then some.
