Hi there, I trade the Nasdaq using Williams+RSI as the primary tools for buy/sell signals. This is rather limited so I want to investigate other systems. Does anybody have links to a good resource or pointers to a good trading system (for stocks)?

Thanks,

Nathan

only seems to work on qqqq and also see posts at www.clearstation.com by cs member Nocona who has introduced a nice and better way to use the original system. Just for the record vto is free and sells nothing and Nocona is just another poster, sells nothing.

However, compare vtos 8 years of results to most folks broker statements and voila

Currently forward testing the hrly RSI(5) on NDX and INDU, through CapitalSpreads. Don't have access to backtesting software but eyeballing the chart, could be a steady winner?

Long entry:
Buy when RSI(5) makes an hourly close <26
Sell when RSI(5) >70

Short entry:
Short when RSI(5) >75
Cover when RSI(5) <30

"flame throwers" welcome. ;)

flamethrowers lol

I've found most flame throwers quiet down when asked what research or testing they've done on their own.
Your hourly idea is being widely discussed at www.clearstation.com - qqqq board by and with the poster named Nocona.
Long term hourly data seems hard to come by but I think you do need to see how it does in bearish market moves and also bubble runs like in 1999 usa dot com mania.

take care, steve

A couple suggestions.....

There is a system utilizing the 5 day RSI on the nasdaq index which you can see at www.vtoreport.com - click rsi tab. The system is simple and freely explained. The site sells nothing.
They display a track record going back to 1997. After reading their blurb, you may want to check on the www.clearstation.com qqqq board for posts by Nocona. he has implemented a scaling in process using the vto system and he does substantially better than they do.

Like vto he is merely posting a simple idea freely available and sells nothing.
