Hi

I have TS2000i and have an ELD file which I need converted to text. If there is someone out there with TS8.x, would you mind reading opening the ELD and reposting the text please.

Its not encrypted.

Thanks

It might not be encrypted but it is subject to copyright and you are effectively sharing it with the whole world in an online community

Hi Charlton

Thanks for your reply. The ELD is from the companion website to a book by Kirk Northington called Volatility Based Technical Analysis. I can highly recommend the book. The website is http://www.tradingtheinvisible.com/.

All the indicators in the ELD are published in the book (which I have). As such, they are already in the public domain. Kirk provides the ELD as well as a Metastock archive.

I guess I was trying to save myself the effort of copying them fom the book.

the ELDs are NOT in the public domain, they are still under copyright protection.

since you have bought the book, you do have the right to use them.
and in this case, have the right to convert them to the format that is readable by your software. However I don't think it is right to post them on a public forum.
