eSignal recently launch a preview of its new platform, eSignal 11. This application is a complete rewrite using new technologies and development methods to set the stage for amazing future enhancements. The new version of eSignal offers something for everyone…performance, an intuitive interface, and elegance uniquely suited to this new age of trading.

We are offering eSignal users an sneak preview of the application, and so far the feedback has been amazing. As this can be installed alongside any existing eSignal installation, I would encourage our users to have a go, and let us know what you think.

Head on over to the eSignal 11 Preview Forum for more information.

We're starting a new series of videos on the preview of eSignal 11. Below is the first video on a new way of managing your windows in eSignal. There's also an RSS feed for the video series if you want to add this to an RSS reader, Google homepage, etc...

I'm using V11 but losing interest. Seems to me it's designed by programmers not traders. Gone is the very useful display of bid and ask on the chart when you clicked either Buy or Sell. A wide spread of bid/ask clearly showed an undecided market when it's usually better to wait. Gone are the Buy and Sell buttons. Using one of these automatically gave you a limit order or a stop order depending on the position of your mouse compared with bid/ask. So you didn't need to think about limit/stop. Now you have to think hard because both are offered. Gone is the ability to switch time frames with one click, it now takes two for this very frequent activity. Gone too are the toolbars. Now you have to click twice to get the tools you use all the time. And integrated trading via Patsystems doesn't permit GTC orders, though perhaps these will come eventually. However the comments field in a watchlist is useful, but doesn't compensate for what has been lost. If the programmers wanted to do a re-write why on earth didn't eSignal insist on retaining all functionality from the tried and tested Version 10? Altogether it's irritating and disappointing.

Hi guys

I'm doing a forex course and have been recommended to subscribe to esignal
Do you think it is worth paying $120 per month (now in the beginning) and are there similar freely supplied charting software I can use instead?

Many thanks
Bill
