help - charting software needed

Who knows of a software product which will allow me to:

1) when I view a chart, I see a "bar" that I like (possible new high/low) and I want to "restart" the chart at that point.

2) I would like to view a chart in "any" timeframe i.e. 4 mins, 2 days, 46 days etc, etc. most (intraday) bars will terminate at the end of the day and not carry on into the next day, i.e. if you use a 14 min bar for US stocks, you will get 27 (full 14 min bars) and the 28th bar will be only 12 mins long. The next day the 14 min bar will start again on the open and not fill in the 2 mins left at the previous close.

This can be done in Excel but is hugely cumbersome.

Can anyone help with this?
