Internet Explorer

Thanks. Something was updated automatically over the weekend. Do you think it's already done? How can I check?

Assume it's: MS08-073 - addresses a vulnerability in Internet Explorer (KB 958215)

That page isn't very helpful.

All it needs to have is:

This is the problem: blah.

No, I believe it's not done yet. The MS page is an advance notice of a patch that is available supposedly on the 17th.

How can it work better?

How can it look better?

Have you used both shadow?
Post a screen shot up for us m8. (exclude accounts etc of course).

The security update was only released at 1800 17/12 UK time and is critical for IE5-7 and beta versions of 8. It is KB960714, see
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS08-078 - Critical: Security Update for Internet Explorer (960714)

Updates received before that time definitely will not cover this security issue. Everyone with IE should get this. If your PC is set to Auto-Update you would have probably found the update any time you booted up Wednesday evening or later. If not, go to the MS site as above.

Thanks. Seems it was done on the 18th. Do people actually read any of that ****e? All I wanted was "click here to update".
