I recently starting using my Canadian brokerage's active trader demo platform as I'm looking to move my strategy from Swing to much more day oriented. The demo platform brings in level 1 and 2 data for all the North American exchanges on a 15 minute delay for free. I find it is a very good training tool, but since I have a day job I have limited time to work with the North American markets while they are open.
I'm generally looking for which Australian Bank/Brokerage would have a similar software package and access to ASX Level 2 (if it is called that) 15 minute delay data for equities that I can use for testing. If I have to open an account that would be fine.
Obviously the demo tool I'm looking for doesn't necessarily need to be associated with a bank...just a good tool and data from ASX..
The time zone difference is absolutely ideal.
I've had a look at Westpac's site and I'm not sure the tool they are suggesting is as detailed/aggressive as the one I'm learning from my Canadian brokerage.
And I yet asked my brokerage if they get ASX...it is possible they do and just don't advertise it.
Thoughts?
Thanks.
