"Useful" MT4 Indicators

On another thread you pretty much stated that indicators are useless ?

Paul

True enough.
From that thread it was re-confirmed to me that some indicators such as this price breakout alert, are a useful tool in confirming what is fact - i.e. price has risen above or below the lines price level. Therefore this indicator IMO is price action orientated, and perhaps is best described as a chart tool, rather than an indicator.

I have found this indicator/chart tool that is useful and what i have been looking for - i.e. to mark/alert me when price hits psychological century levels on the chart. I may not post any other indicators on this thread!

So far, what i consider to be - "useless"/of limited use (as they often fail) - are indicators that try and predict what is coming next - i.e. overbought/oversold conditions.

Please use your own discretion as to whther you think the indicator posted will be of any real benefit to others - i.e. "useful". No zig-zags please ;).

Useful MT4 indicators thread.

Price breakout alert.
Here is a video on how to use it.

Useful chart tool though this is. On closer inspection its also a nuisance. It continues to sound after the trigger level has been hit. You can even remove the alert lines/indicator from the chart, and the damn thing will continue alerting!
The only way that i know to then start afresh, is to delete the chart and start another. But this is a hassle.:?:

The ace of spades, the ace of spades......

Why not change the sound wave output to something sir would perhaps find a bit more agreeable.

On one of my setups GBPJPY when i get a long its pumps out the national anthem, god save the queen, when a short (start buying yen on this) it pumps out the Jap anthem, only I havent manage to find that yet so I compromise with "The Ace of Spades" by Motorhead instead, for now..... (y)

just an idea

Seems appropriate to me:

"If you like to gamble, I'll you I'm your man,
Win some, lose some, its all the same to me...."

Sounds like a comment on Money Management to me.

"Going with the flow, it's all the same to me"

Maybe the dude was a trend follower....

Cheers
