for a newbie trader, who learns things very fast and is Internet pro?

(want to trade Internet, medicine mainly,), must be worlds major stocks available @ real time prices

thanks!

Why not put a rough figure for your question ?
Maybe $2000 ? Peanuts to a millionaire but quite a lot to the poorer section.
Consider many other factors too eg do want charting software ? Not much use if you hate charts.
If you just want a really cheap one - toss a coin and cross your fingers !!
:cheesy:

i'm looking for a cheap reliable software where i can buy and sell stocks at the real time, and do profit / lose calculations and automatically buy and sell at the level i decide,

i don't need to read news tru this software, as there is many other sources, don't want expensive software, as i better spend it on my trading account

what's the best affordable software?
Your question is still very vague, making it difficult for people to give you any useful info, as Pat noted "affordable" is a subjective term, as is "expensive", what is affordable or expensive to me may not be to you, and vice versa, what you describe in your second post sounds most like a trading platform, since these are often free in some form or another with most type of accounts I am still at a loss for what you are really asking You have not said if you intend to trade through a direct access broker, a online deep discount broker or a spread better

As Trader333 told you above you can use QuoteTracker for free.

I have been day-trading NYSE and Nasdaq stocks for almost 4 years now and still use this brilliant free service.

Even though it's free I have always found their support to be quick and excellent.

And yes, I do make a good living trading stocks.

I just don't believe that you have to spend much money in order to achieve that.

I also use Interactive Brokers as a broker, IQ Feed for live data and so I get very low commissions, cheap live data and QuoteTracker for free.

I have had problems with IQFeed but I am hoping it was a one off.

Not bad at all.

Do not think that you have to spend a lot of money to trade stocks.

It is in your interests to keep your overheads as low as possible.

i have just noted Barclay brokers online, i normally don't like Barclay's, moved all accounts to HSBC, as they screwed me in the past (by allowing me to go overdraw, not informing me , and then charging 75£ in one month)

, but their "Barclay's stockbrokers"presentation looks attractive to me , and if they screwed me for money is that means they are pros at earnings?

has anyone had experience with them?

thanks!

please help, i don wanna be annoying , but also i dont want go long way this time by "learning from my own mistakes", i want to learn from yours this time and save my time and money

thanks!

Shedevilx, several top traders on this site have given you their collective wisdom and made some excellent suggestions for a broker (who provides trade-entry software, a basic level price feed and basic charting), a specialist charting program which is free, and a data provider for enhanced quality data.

So why ignore all of that (no 'thank you' )and come back to us with a query about Barclays stockbrokers? You are going to have to do some basic research yourself, and it should take you about 60 seconds to check out their websites and find that Barclays commissions are over 14 times greater than IB's. I would be most surprised if their speed of execution or technology was even close either.

thanks very much for suggesting interactive brokers, i see, they are much cheaper, just wanted more opinions  , i go study them now

:)

I am not trying to annoy you darling, I am just quite bored with your attitude.

I think Peto hit it on the head in post #14.
