How to back test options strategy

I primarily signed up for TradeStation due to its claimed superiority in the area of back-testing capabilities and also its automated order execution based on a defined strategy. For back-testing, I'm specifically interested in testing an option strategy that I have. However, I'm not familiar enough with the software to even know where to begin.

At a high-level, here is what I'm trying to accomplish:

1) Specify underlying stock symbol
2) Identify previous earnings dates
3) Specify certain number of days prior to each earning date
4) Get underlying prices for that day
5) Based on underlying prices at a specific time, get options spreads (straddle, strangle, etc) that are a certain amount out of the money on each leg
6) Track cost basis of the option spread
7) Track open profit of the option spread
8) Given either a certain profit or certain date, close position and determine final profit

Is this possible? Any help, even if it is to get me started, would be greatly appreciated!
