StockHunter's trading journal

Guess I should post some trades here, wow it's been a long time lol.

Currently in a long on EUR/GBP with a fairly tight stoploss. Looking for a take profit of 0.83384

Tightened stop to 0.83274 and triggered, out for +4.7 pips. Chart will be published later along with info on my other trade from this morning.

Experimenting with a new strategy, short EUR/USD entry @ 1.32023 S/L @ 1.32091, T/P @ 1.31633 (though I plan on trailing my stop).

Stopped out @ 1.32092 for -6.9 pips, good thing I'm smart enough to paper-trade new strategies.

Here is the chart for the experiment trade I did today. I screwed up with my stop placement (as you can see in the chart).

And here are my 2 other trades:

2 trades, 1 loss and 1 gain for a total of -8.4 pips

Entered EUR/GBP @ 0.83284 on a short, S/L @ 0.83332, T/P @ 0.83111

Play is a reversal off of resistance with low risk since I'm trading against momentum. I will be likely jumping out at about 0.8320 (trailing stop), but I'm giving it the chance to break though it to my T/P.

I exited EUR/GPB @ 0.83226 for +5.7 pips.

As always, chart and summary will come at the end of the day.

I didn't do very well today. I didn't get much sleep last night due to my back hurting from the previous day's workout.

Forex: 1 trade for a loss of -15.9 pips

IMO the market is too volatile for tight stops and if you get stopped out all the time you'll be losing money.
Maybe you should be trading commodities or stocks?
You have the right name for stocks anyway

It was a bit choppy today (I started my day late in the trading session) and I should have just taken the day off.

I actually originally started trading stocks back in 2007 (until about April 2009), but eventually wound up in currencies. I enjoy trading currencies a lot more. I haven't bothered to change my username since most sites I joined won't allow me to change it. I figured I'd rather keep it the same, plus it kind of works since I was a past stock trader and continue to make swing trades in stocks from time to time.

I didn't have any trades today. However my dad entered JC Penney (JCP) on a long swing trade so we'll see how that turns out.
