hello, everybody. i am from china. i started trading FX from 2013 but still losing money. So i dont think it's wise to put a lot of meney into my accout. Let me start with 0.01 lot. i post this thread just to record my trade.
i trade over 30min chart. i try to be a trend trader. Once i begin a trade i dont exit until the stoploss is reached.
i will try to post all my trades here in time simply by screencaptured photos.
Good luck to everyone here.

Hello there! Just wanted to say that I think it's a great idea that you keep position sizes small until your results improve. It protects your trading capital :)
Also a good idea about your record-keeping - I do a lot of record-keeping too, and it helps me a lot for reviewing and improving things.

Good luck!

Thank you for your encouragement and suggestion.

I did 8 trades yesterday, and the result is a loss of 63 pips. 4 break even, 3 lost, 1 won. i want to upload the chart of each trade which show the place where i enter the market and where i exit, but that will take me some time. i will do this later.
i tried to catch the trend ,but the obvious trend did not appear, that's why 4 trades exited break even after they had once had gained some loating profit from 15 to 30 pips.
Let my try to explain my conservative strategy. i usually begin my original positon with a stoploss less than 40 pips. and i move the stopless to break even once i have a floating profit of 15-20 pips, that will ensure me not to lose money on this trade. i will open an opposite position to lock up the floating profit if i find something indicates that there will be a retrace. If there really is a retrace, i will close the opposite position somewhere near the end of the retrace and keep the first position. And after that, I may open the second postion if I think the price will continue to move profitably. I will repeat the loop of openning new position, locking up floating profit, closing the lock-up position, moving stoploss ,etc. until the trend changes its direction to wipe my original postion off.
I hope that I've made it clear and you can understand what I try to tell. I am sorry for the grammar mistakes since English is not my native language. Any discussion, idea and suggestion are welcomed.

long EURGBP @0.70748 to lock up the foating profit, it seems like that I've done this too early because the price is still dropping.

short NZDUSD @0.65296', in fact Ishould have short AUDUSD instead.

well, NZDUSD was stopped out this morning @0.65561, -26.5pips
close the "long EURGBP @0.70748 " positon at 0.70921, and move the stoploss of the "short [email protected]" to 0.7105;
short another 0.01 lot EURGBP at 0.70921 to double my positon, stoploss at 0.7100

USDCHF also stopped out.
No any position now.
Did not move the stoploss to break even in time, a small mistake.
Missed the chance to lock up the profit on USDCHF and NZDUSD, a little unlucky.
Tomorrow will be a new day.

short EURGBP again @0.7067 with stop @ 0.7080
short CADJPY again @92.60 with stop @ 92.99

The market is boring and the spread is high during Asian session, but have to accept it.

If I may:

I suggest you focus on the 6 majors first till you become consistently profitable, all the others are parallel to those, some are faster and some slower and all more expensive to trade.

Hello,Fugazsy!
Thank you for your suggestion. I have to say this is truely a good suggestion for a newbie, especially for the one who is not capable of making profit from the market. But I also have some reasons to trade more currency pairs. Fisrt, I am not a scalpler which means I don't have to keep my eyes on the price every minute. I try to be a trend trader on the 30 min chart. I only check the price now and then, i.e. about 20-60 minutes a time. Second, the way I trade allow me to keep track of more currency pairs, and I hope to find more and better chances by doing this . As for the higher spread, since I trade in small scale and I try to hold the position as long as the trend last, so I dont pay much attention to it. Anyway ,I will apply a new account for lower spread.
I hope you can understand what I say inspite of some grammer mistakes:p\
Regards

Break even again inspite of a move of over 30 pips in my favour:confused:
At least I did not trade in the wrong direction, this fact probably means that my system works .

Your English is better than mine.

I like 30m TF, I use it a lot. You do not need to scalp to make good money.

We all need to find a way that make sense to ourself.

Be good.

Fugs.
