i'm a graduate students in China, and i get an offer from G.H.Financials(GHF)
to be a derivatives trader in its Shanghai office

they offer me a base pay in the first 6 months , after that , if i've done well i can get bonus
they said their headquarter is in London
so i want to ask if there are anybody working in this company
and is it a good place to start my career?

thanks very much!:D

Never worked there but they're not a boiler room operation last time I checked - they're a respectable firm.

If I were you I would think very seriously about their offer (assuming it's what you want to do).

Good luck

GJ

GHF are a well established trading company with a good record.
As GammaJammer says, you could do a lot worse, I would accept the offer.

I started working there 2 months back. Its a great company and offers great support to its traders. Trades mostly STIR and has most of its offices in India under the name Futures First like apcorona said. I'm new so I don't know much about the other companies in trading. just hope I make it someday. Well good luck to you.

Hello to everyone.
I am also interested in details about GHF derivates because they started a new branch and I am very interested in this job. I badly need it.
May I have your help in following questions:
- what tests did you take when applying for the job (because they described the process of selection as 2 written tests very difficult and two interviews
- are u still working there? are u satisfied. Good luck to you all!

Hy AnyaRO and mrssmall,
If you are still interested in taking those tests at GHF , please let me know.
I had a test with them and I know what it is about.

Hi,

I saw you have some information about this test of the GHF ...can you help me ... with some exemples maybe....?

First, you have to know that GHF is a great company, they have their headquarter in London, with another branches in Europe ( for now, only in Romania and Hungary), Asia and USA.
They trade on futures markets( mostly interest rates, but not only).
Their will be 2 tests:
1. First one, is similar to this : http://www.ghffutures.mu/pdf/practice_test.pdf.
I was at a recruitment session in January, and I don't remember which was the passing score ans how many questions. In fact, from what I can remember they didn't told us about it. We were 14 guys, and 4 of us passed ( I wasn't one of them).
2. From what I've heard from other guys who reached the second test, it will be more like logic-mathematics in it, but still based on maths.
If you pass this test too, you will proceed to the interview.
Good luck.
