OK, I'll start it off.

The simplest trend trading strategy is a moving average cross. Simple on longer time frames and exponential on shorter (15 min or lesss). I use the 10 and 20 MA on most currency pairs and on gold to trade the trend using the 30 min charts and sometimes the daily charts.

Enter when it crosses and exit when it recrosses (unless you've already pocketed enough pips). Like all mechanical systems, this needs a little common sense input re trading times.

How about entering in the direction of the trend when the price goes above your average with the averages still trending i.e. short av. below long when in a bear run ? What some would call a pullback.

I know that this is what he said, but he did not mention going above an average, which is what a mechanical trader would need as a signal.
