I use Outlook 2003 and have AVG Free.

Does anyone know how to stop AVG puting attachments to my emails when it scans them to say they are ok.

Very annoying when ALL my emails have attachments.....and all they are, are the AVG stuff. Or if there is a better Antivirus out there.

Any help many thanks

Alan

Don't know the answer to your Q but as a receiver I like to know the message has been virus scanned.

Having said that, I recently spent some time tweaking Outlook 2002 and AVG free to make it include the "scan ok" message becuase it wasn't doing just that. Unfortunately, I couldn't find why it wasn't working properly - in the way you are trying to achieve! PCs - always loadsa fun

Try right clicking on the tray icon and checking the outlook and email options. If nothing else, turn them off completely.

Sorted

Thanks for your replies

I looked before and just did not see it but went into AVG Email, Properties, Configure, Email scanning and then unchecked certify mail.

All done

Thanks again

Alan
