What a Waste of Time

Was it ever really alive? Or was it all just a strange dream?

You got me there. Are you in mine or am I in yours, dreaming of you in mine, dreaming of me in yours?

its a little light on good content these days ....but what is the alternative ..FF ?

B - do you want to start up a private thread here and invite a few people in ?

just a thought

Traders forLaboratory or Big Mikes Trading are much better with good content.

T2W good for lulz only

Is it just me or has t2w died?

So you're saying your one man CPR has barely resulted in a comatose patient ? :)
It's a start, though.
The reasons for t2w's current state are pretty obvious to me......

Obvious to practically everyone apart from those with the power to change it.

I must say though, I quite like its current state, but the kindest course of action would be to put it out of its misery.

I must grab another Nazi box before they close up shop for good, there where only 89 left last time I checked.

Unless the management do something to ensure T2W pulls up its' socks it will follow most businesses that that go through a cycle of start up, rising star, cash cow, before ending up, where it is now, as a "dog.":|

87 Nazi boxes left (Yep - Bramble ambled off with No. 89)

Traders Laboratory is dying of the same sickness as t2w, but they lack the resources to transform it into a parody of a trading site, which is what they need to do to survive a little longer.

I'm not an active member of "Big Mike's" but I am rather impressed by some of the content, and by some of the people posting over there. I think what differentiate them from their rather stale competitors is that the owner still actively participates, and genuinely seams to care about running a trading site, rather than running a repository for banner ads.

Elite Trader has remained pretty much the same over the years.

Where as trade2win has noticeably declined from what it was in 2004 when i first joined.

With Trade2win the focus has been to get as many newbs to join so they view and click on as many banner ads for the spread betting and forex firms who advertise here.

Too many shi77y vendors. Open up a vendor free section and might rekindle something. Try and have a sensible discussion and then you get FAP turbo'd or some to55a pushing their software.

I don’t think you can blame it on the vendors (who have as much right as any to make their way in the best way they can) or the incessant and thoroughly irritating banner impressions which cause the site to run so slowly that I genuinely give up on many occasions and go and do something worthwhile.

I don’t think it’s the strategy of luring hoards of clueless newbs as banner fodder (if indeed there is any such strategy). And while some of them are truly stupid to the extent that I would actually enjoy causing them immense pain and internal bleeding, I don’t think they’re the cause.

I really don’t know what it is.

There was a time when you could pretty much be sure any thread would attract a core of active and intelligent posters (and always a few retards to provide lulz fodder) and it was always of sufficient size, a critical mass, to ensure a useful momentum was built until the subject matter either went off track or interest diminished to zero. All very normal. But it really worked well as a way to share information and views and have a bit of a laugh too.

However, what I see now is that this core of active posters is woefully low. The numbers of active posters are far less and even some of the old core (corps?) who do post, only do so very infrequently. Feels like a club which was the dogs at one time, but is now a pale reflection of its former self and no longer the place to hang out. Maybe it’s just me, jaundiced with the passage of time and the lack of anything new to grab my attention or interest. Heard it, seen it, done it all before maybe.

Perhaps newer arrivals enjoy the place as much as I used to, but for me, it’s all rather gone off the boil, lost its momentum, lacks follow through, has fewer new threads that are of interest, no interest from most in any that do have a nuance of possible useful development inherent within them and it’s all become a bit like hard work. And when this starts to feel like hard work….what is the point?

Cheer up Bramb, do not despair, we can always take some of your "mushrooms" and ask Atilla to send his dog to eat somebody's liver.

1. Use Firefox.

2. Install Do Not Track +. No more tracking, no more stupid and insulting advertisements running amok across the page.

3. Bliss.
