Hi. I'm having problems using the site. It keeps freezing and loads very slowly? Other web pages load normally. What could be the reason? Is anyone else experiencing same problems? Any solution?

Been like that for a while for me. I'm using Google Chrome with Windows XP, but using Internet Explorer is even worse. The site eats up processor time like mad and takes too long to load the 3rd party ads.

That's odd. I'll ask the tech guys to take a look tomorrow. Site's loading fine for me here.

happens to me intermittently (using firefox). reload "new posts" and the little circle just keeps going round for ages

happens with Google Chrome too, more than just intermittently. It's usually is to either pre load something for later use or the 3rd party ads are not loading quickly. If you check the Windows Task Manager you'll notice that often the browser is using an abnormally high percentage of CPU time when this happens.

I'm also getting 100% cpu on T2W with Firefox 8.0/Windows7-64
A few clues:
Turning off Javascript cpu drops to normal.
Switching to a different browser tab cpu drops to normal.
Only seems to occur on Forums/Articles/Reviews pages. Normal cpu on Home/Events/Contests/Rebates/FAQ/Store
No difference with Adblock on or off.

It's been desperate for me today - bit better on Chrome than the others - and sharing that 100% CPU experience. something's amiss

the other thing i'm finding is when i use my bookmark tabs across the top i can happily hop from one to the other except when i go onto T2W when i then get locked into T2W and can't move to the other bookmarks. I've solved it by just having T2W on a separate browser tab but it shouldn't happen.

The only problems I have are with writing messages. Clicking somewhere to type doesnt show the bar so I don't know where I'm typing and sometimes I finish typing sentences before the letters appear. I just use bog standard Internet Explorer.

I've asked the tech team to take a look, it could be a change we made yesterday. Will post an update shortly.

yeah i've been getting the same with the bar missing, though i've had that for quite a while now. it comes and goes, hey ho :)

also had the same issue a long time back with regard to the letters being typed lagging severely, that was more to do with stuff running in the background, hogging cpu than a t2w problem. but lately i have experienced letter lag again :( as i have cleansed previous causes i can only conclude that t2w is cpu hungry at mo. i have nothing else running and cpu load is +60% close t2w and cpu load drops to nothing.

Hey guys, we've indeed found an issue with the bug fix we made on one of our javascript libraries yesterday causing over-consumption of cpu. It's fixed now.

Thanks everyone for reporting it.

is it fixed? really?

i just did a quick rough check and t2w is way bad on cpu. blows my pc out the water, open anything else and i'm sunk

please see screeners.

and some more screeners

i thought youtube would be bad but wasn't @ 13% cpu, the worst i've come across in this rough test was yahoo @ 17% cpu load

i think t2w @ 79% cpu load was a tad bad! though it's settled as i type to just under 50% cpu loading, it's still the bad boy in the bunch :(

yes it's dropping for me too, a steady 25%

then while replying to the thread it shoots up past 60%, which is ok for typing at that level, it's when it the viewing cpu load starts at a higher level, when just viewing a t2w page, then on replying is when typing lag kicks in as the cpu load nears 100%

even @ 25% load it's still the bad one of the bunch in my test. replying to a thread is now around 45% at this time.
