Another one to put in the 'Keep an Eye' Portfolio.

Notice the large spike in volume yesterday. Something seems to be happening.

It is also quite close to the long term resistance line, so watch this space.....

Any views please?

* Proposed changes to the capital gains tax regime likely to open the way for
Securicor to withdraw from a distribution joint venture with Deutsche Post,
without incurring a tax charge of up to 100 mln stg - FT

When to buy?

The share price has broken the resistance line, but could anyone offer any comments about the timing of trades.

When is a signal safe to act upon and what conditions should one place in these types of situations to stop oneself from jumping into every early buy signal?

All comments gratefully accepted

Hi Madog

When is a signal safe to act upon and what conditions should one place in these types of situations to stop oneself from jumping into every early buy signal?

What a question. It really does depend on your time frame.

For me personnally (if I was following SCR), I would either buy on the break of the trendline on Friday, or be looking to enter in first thing Monday morning.

Either way I would set a tight trailing stop-loss and keep moving it up to protect profits, and be looking to sell out at 140 (most recent resistance).

If I was looking at SCR on a longer time frame, then I would be looking to buy, (now that the resistance has gone) with a stop-loss under the rising bull trend. On this basis I would be looking for a price target of 175, although this would take several month's to come through.

As I say, it really depends on your time-frame.

Barry I dont know which CG tax it concerns, its still
£100m in their pocket.
I m wandering if the hike on Friday has anything to do with them finding a buyer for their safedoor business which has been incurring them big losses.

Hi Maddog
Just a thought, you could always swing trade this one up to a possible 170p ish.

Good luck
Greg

I don't hold this stock.
