I'm getting 2-3 a week now from them trying to get me to deposit money, yet they have nothing to offer! - I'm starting to get anoyed.

Anyone else get too many of these? ODL seem to be the only ones who do this.

Yes, me too. Having worked in sales, I'm broadly sympathetic and politely told them I wasn't interested. However, after about the third verbal request to be taken off their contact list, I wrote this e-mail and I've not heard from them since.

Hi Odl,
I would be grateful if you would remove me from your telephone list please. I have no intention at the moment of funding another SB account. I don't object to receiving the occasional e-mail, but I find your telephone marketing campaign is a little too persistent, to the extent that I find it intrusive and I rather regret ever having shown an interest in ODL and passing on my personal details.
Thank you,
Tim.

They're offering a free i-pod for refunding the account that I stopped using because it was slow and crash-prone. Times must be hard in the SB world.

Yes the competition is increasing rapidly, very good for us as SB clients. This is the main reason, why I see a lot of positive changes coming forth in this industry, in the years to come.

An insider tells me they won't all be here in the future. And accounts aren't quite protected by the government scheme... choose your friends wisely.

hehehehehe another cliché!

Yes I agree, new SB companies are popping up everywhere, some will for sure disappear or merge with other SB companies. Correct, do not keep large sums of money in accounts that are not fully secured.

Yes i had a phone call a week for about 5 weeks,
They had a promotion recently for "AXISODL" where they would add the 1st innings runs score as dollars for each test of the ashes for new deposits- So i took it up and depoisted the lowest amount i could-
1k AUS

I thought it was just me!
ODL are pretty aggressive, others seem to leave me alone.
They, ODL, are pushing PIA subscrips, its a sort of advisory for FX.
I get about 20-30 emails A DAY, with their trades!

Thank god for mass deletes. (apart from the the weekly digest. Which gives me a good laugh)
