I see that VDM markets are now "Gekko markets". anyone know anything about this ?

Sounds very spivvy.....

I like Wall St and my favourite character is Gordon Gekko so I'll call my SB co that!

I think their system is good actually, very fast and well laid out. probably not as good as IG though

I had an e-mail from Gekko Global Markets go into my Hotmail Junk box earlier today and almost looked at it but I thought no serious company would ever call themselves that, so I deleted it!

I closed my account with VDM as their platform kept crashing and cost me a fair bit of money. Not had one person ask why I closed it or any offers to come back.

Nothing has changed for me work wise, still at Spreadex. That logo has always been there, I think it may have changed from Broker/Vendor but I haven't touched it

Yes, it's quirky, but the platform seems to work faster than any other SB set-up I've tried, for logging on, displaying charts and (usually) executing trades. IG has far more bells and whistles, but can be painfully slow at times.
Having said that, I'd agree that VDM's name change almost guarantees that they won't be taken seriously. Maybe when they go bust one of the other SB providers could use the platform?

Ha ha, yes I agree, a very odd name indeed.:D
Hopefully, they also start on new fresh client policy.

I'm a member of another forum, the owner of which was apparently approached by this company to promote their services on his site.

He found their proposition very strange - in particular the level of remuneration they were willing to offer for getting members to sign up.

He advised all of his members to steer well clear of them. I have no experience of the company, so I cannot comment on them directly.

He probably doesn't know the figures Aaron
If you were an owner of a buletin board would you divulge your advertising revenue to your members?

mate you can buy accounts for any company for £3. Not just the abv BS

edit: Sorry its not £3 its more. Used to be cheaper I havent done it for a while.

And you think in those accounts there is going to be a breakdown of all individual agreements/kickbacks and offers that haven't even been accepted?

Be realistic, the guy doesn't know figures, he was only warned off them. Now go do some work!
