Just got an email from Saxo Bank, that they are now offering spreadbetting accounts.
I have found them to be a good firm, and it was dissapointing that until now it was not possible to spreadbet with them. Had a look at the website and the offerred spreads are looking ok. I shall ring them tomorrow and learn more, like traling SL, and so on.

It looks like a Capital Spreads white label(n)

SmallCapNews | London Capital agrees white label deal with Saxo Bank

Why on earth would they white label capital spreads' offering when they already have a platform of their own (of which they are, by the looks of their website, very proud)?

Makes no sense to me in pure brand value terms.

but what the hell do I know?

Hi Gamma Jammer, you know more then you say:)
It is interesting as to why would Saxo Bank tarnish their reputation by alining themselves with some practices described in the thread dedicated to Capital Spreads. I have phoned them. and they have explained that the new Saxo Spread is a different company. but run by the same people. I shall wait and see, or I might open a small account and see for myself too.

sorry to be dumb, what is white label?

Sounds like a kind of franchise? They mention white label on saxobank's website, say over a hundred companies use them.

Let me make this really simple.

"white label" is business speak for what you and me normally know of as "polished turd".

I was at first impressed by saxo after attending a seminar (long time ago), then sceptical after reading on the internets, and now they've started spreadbetting.. If i were to judge from instinct and no real experience with them i'd stay clear.. unless someone has some experiences to share..
