I'd like to get a view on which Spread Betting platforms are likely to be the least annoying and most efficient to use, base on three metrics.

EXCLUDING the MT4 platform.

1. How many clicks to place a bracketed ( with stop and target ) position. Which, do you know of that can do this with less than 5 clicks ? So far about a dozen clicks seems typical.

2. Does the above with correct position size, according to account size and stop distance.

3. After scaling in using multiple orders, allows multiple stops and targets to be easily merged and managed.

MT4 platform is antiquated and very inefficient ..its only a chart trading platform

Squares use it

A lot of squares in this world then.:)

Honestly, I think you are getting way out of line.

Trading Technologies X_Trader

I would recommend:

Trading Technologies X_Trader for the following reasons:

Proper Margin Requirements Don't over leverage
Direct Market Access See the true price in the market
Super Fast Trade Execution No re quotes
Level II - Order book Flow See how many are queuing on the Bid\Offer
Multiple Order types - Trailing Stops, OCO, ICE Bergs - Better control of your trade management
Spread - Hedging More opportunities in trading rather than pure directional plays
Auto Spreader Avoid being legged
Now latest verision is Web based Easier to get started not down loading issues
No monthly subscription based on your rts
I am an IB for a broker that offers the platform to it's clients (y)

All in a spread betting wrapper.

CMC spreadbet platform does some of what you require ( and is FSA reg!)
1. bracketed orders to your specification with 1 click
2. size would have to be managed manualy
3. multiple positions can only be cancelled with one click. Each order must otherwise be individually tweaked.

Thanks. Good they have a 1-click option, but unfortunately the rest of their service is IMO not great.

Just a shame they are not regulated by the FCA in London
Hi leemo,
You're right, they aren't regulated by the FCA, but they are regulated by the FSC in Gibraltar. FWIW, I've never heard anything bad about them (ProSpreads) in terms of regulation, and there's lots of threads about them here on T2W - of which this is the biggest: prospreads.com
Tim.
