Problem logging into Finspreads Advantage platform

I'm using windows 7 and internet explorer 10 on desktop. Finspreads advantage was fine on Friday but since Monday I can log in but I only get a grey screen.
I contacted help desk and they suggested using other browsers.
Anybody using Finspreads Advantage (not City Index version) on internet explorer. Any advise would be helpful thanks.

Is your pc all up to date...windows updates and stuff like adobe ?
 
My adobe is up to date but internet explorer is 10. I suppose I better try another browser and give them a call. It was fine on Friday then on Monday I could get in and grey boxes. I actually live chatted to their client management through the platform and after clearing cookies no joy.

You may have a software problem. I use two computors. One has been phased out by Windows because it is old (since April) so I have switched to Linux. After a bit of teething, on my part, it is ok.

The problem with old computors is that they are too slow for the new software. That affects the mouse, when scrolling, etc. No grey patches, though.

The machine is only 2 years old, Windows 7 and it was working on Friday. I probably give them a call in case there is a problem with my account. Thanks for the advise.
 
I rang client management and they suggested checking my line speed. They also recommended using chrome because its faster. However they did acknowledge a few people had reported the grey screen problem since Monday and IT were have a look at. I am glad I am not going mad!

You have Exactly the same problem as me!!! ( I hope this reply works as its the 1st I have done! ) My platform was working on Monday and was dead on Tuesday.
FS Gave me a load of guff about Flash. Speed. and mostly Browsers. This is after I had a previous problem and was advised to go on Mozilla. I cannot access Advantage Web by using either IE 11. Nor the latest Firefox and after my unhelpful conversation with the 1st enquiries guy ( who is blaming me and my computer as well as the browser ) I did what he suggested and installed Google Chrome. Guess What? Bingo! I still have a greyed out platform.
To recap. No Browser works. Reinstalled Flash directly off Finspreads Web Page Doesn't work. All kinds of Anti Virus scans show Nothing wrong etc etc etc.
I also spoke to a second enquires guy who was more helpful and sympathetic and he says that when you get to the greyed out bit you have actually logged in but there seems that its not showing to my computer. He has now filed a Ticket to get Technical help to look into it. Unfortunately he can give no time as to when this will be done! its now 24hrs and I've heard nothing. Not looking good is it.
My Computer is on Windows 7 Pro (64bit) and I have the latest 3 Browsers. IE> Firefox + Google Chrome. Nothing works!
To me its a problem at their end but I can't prove it. I am trying to access my account on someone elses Computer to see it FS works on theirs. It is always possible that Microsoft or some other software company has installed something on my computer after I booted up on Tuesday but it seems unlikely with 3 different browsers. Pls Note that Finspreads has just been taken over and it may have something to do with that and also Finspreads has stopped access to the Old Platform ( without any polite email saying that it will be ending in a few days ) which was also accessed by the same web page, it could have something to do with this.
One thing I hate is a patronising so called customer service agent who automatically blames the customer without politely going over the computer 1st.
NB the 1st guy said there had been no reports about this problem!!!! Which turned out to be false as the 2nd guy said he had had a customer with a problem on Friday. I'm guessing that's you?
One other thing, do you trade often? do you have much money in your account? I trade only a little as I'm building up my experience and don't have tons of money in the account. Is this why we are having this problem?
If there are other traders out there who can access their Finspreads account who are using the same or very similar Op systems pls let me know. Cheers Indextrader888.
 
i had problem on my iphone and it was my fault in settings my date and time were wrong
 
Well, as I said, I am using Linux on an old computor. When I pressed the buttons this afternoon for opening trades and stops, etc. they were too slow, so I've packed in. No trouble launching the charts, though, and no grey screens.

This morning, on my other computor, I had no trouble. I agree with you, though, aboiut this afternoon. Its not working as well as yesterday. Something's up..
 
Its their problem because the guy I spoke to admitted in a vague way there was a problem which IT were addressing. I assumed my set up could be the problem because I have a pc running of a mobile broadband. However I am flummoxed because Youtube seems to be happy streaming.
As for my trading I had halted that because I couldn't understand the slippage I was getting on the DFT SPX. Also when they set an email about charging for inactive accounts that pissed me off as well.
This week I was ready to trade since I discovered the SPX futures now moves in 0.25 so that explains finspreads 0.3 move. Unfortunately grey screen so I guess paper trading use IGindex prices.
 
I've checked on another pc with more powerful broadband connection using all three browsers. Guess what grey screen. I think some of our accounts have been migrated to city index advantage instead of finspreads advantage.
 
I don't understand your"grey" problems. I have a sluggish computor and my grey screen lasts 30 seconds between launch platform and the chart. That seems to be it. However, I have had an Adobe crash on me this morning.

I'm in my trade, now, with a stop under it and, not being a scalper, I'm not bothered at present.

I repeat, though, that this platform is not functioning as normal.

Thanks I will try that. Currently I am giving only 10 seconds because that's how quick it was before this problem.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about as there really is a big problem with logging on. If your computer takes that long to load up And it is working then clearly you have a problem with Your computer!! And it might be helpful if you don't interfere as we are trying to get a Major Problem resolved!

Logging on does Not take the time you think it does! And never should it.

Error: (403) Forbidden [1] - The server is refusing to respond to this request. Are you making an HTTPS request from an HTTP page?

web address says it's https so I guess they going t!ts up, i'm getting my money out!

I said that I had an old computer but, if someone has to ring up the dealer to complain about a grey screen, after only waiting 10 seconds, maybe I don't know what I am talking about. You. at sixty, should have learned a bit of patience, (and education). I'm 82 so, perhaps, there's some hope for you, yet.
 
I was out yesterday in the rain for some rest and relaxation. I should have done this earlier. I have taken a screen dump of the problem and the log on screen. Previously when I logged on with my bypass screen it was light yellow but now it is dark yellow. That screen is the log on for city index clients. I gave the grey screen 2 minutes and still no platform!
When I log onto the bypass screen I get a whirl that stops for a second before carrying on. When I check internet allowance usage it is zero. I might give them another call and see how far they have progressed.
