I traded similar calendar positions in QQQQ options. I used 3 month option for the long side instead of leap.

Using QQQQ options, after factoring commissions, it is hard cover make money on this....

I traded reverse calendar option spreads on E-mini S&P. future options are better with margin treatments compared to stock options.

I prefer selling OTM Call calendar spreads, like 70 points out...
