can anyone advise where I might find any practical training courses that one can attend for say a week or more, eg, learn techniques and paper trade with instruction

I found it informative (I am a total beginner).... but I have no spare cash to give it a whirl. I now have all the links stored on my computer and accounts opened and ready to go so I don't need to hang on to it. I think it cost me £150.

what are you looking for it be kind please...

Guys, what I was after is a course I may attend, whereby you are shown trading techniques in a live enviroment? maybe something you can pay a lot of money for and attend somewhere for a week or a month or so?

hi jester999,

most courses I have been on, or am aware of, the teaching is done on NON-trading days.
( I have been on Sandy Jadejas Fib course, Jake Bernsteins, and a couple of others ).

most traders TRADE during the week.
The only course I have been on during a trading day, was Mr Charts. The course fee was relatively high, due to the tutor "missing out" on trading profits.

If you can find someone to teach you for a week, or more, expect to pay a LOT of money.
( even then, no guarantees YOU will be able to emulate in one week something an experienced trader took several years to learn to do !! )

If you can find a tutor who teaches you for a week, and doesnt trade for that week, then fine.
If such a teacher exists, the course will be rare, and expensive.
If such a teacher exists, and the course is offered regularly, please ask WHY he spends so much time teaching when he can be trading.

Those who can, do, those who cant, ...................

Fibs work - but too long between trades !!

I am playing Dow and FX. ( I want to be a day-trader ).
Trend-following. ( but I am placing my stop-losses too close !! )

Be advised - try to find out what YOU feel comfortable with, and which systems / philosophies you can empathise with.
Ultimately, it is irrelevant what works for me.

You need to find out what will work for you. Thats what makes a market !

good luck.
