Hi we all know that a successful trader is a person who does not become emotionally attached to trades, accepts being wrong and does not have the need to always prove themselves to be right, does not make emotional reactions to trades - particularly losing trades etc. etc. However, a string of losses, can be very demoralising, and such frustrations can lead to frustration etc. etc. When i first got interested in trading, i was put in touch with a local trader, and I went to visit him, to see what he did etc. He recommended not buying expensive monitors, as "you'll smash a few" I've felt pretty mad a few times, but have not done anything that drastic, and doubt i ever will. I have thrown 1 or 2 Staedlar Sticks against the wall in the last few months, smashing the plastic casings, but thats about as mad as I've got, as i know that it won't make me feel better at the end of the day, and if i were to break something more expensive than a pen, I'd really be dissappointed with myself, and it would be self defeating. With the aim of creating an interesting, insightful & maybe an amusing thread also, what anger/frustration driven stories due to a failed trade/s etc. can you recall, either concerning you, someone you traded alongside, or someone you heard about .......................... PS. perhaps i should have placed this thread in the foyer..... Last edited by JTrader; Apr 24, 2007 at 12:21pm. |
