I learnt a lot from listening to psychology videos on the internet , but posting them here may conflict with vendors and sponsors.

Mark Douglas would have made a great mentor and his interviews are good , Dr Andrew Menaker phd would certainly make a great coach , Dr Steenbarger is retired some of his articles were good , Van tharp talked about mistakes , Rande Howell's videos are good and even the not trading psychologists provide good knowledge.

revenge trading why?

The ‘angry trade’ is the worst possible trade you can make. It’s usually done after a loss with a desire to get your own back, or more specifically to win back the money you’ve just lost.

It’s an emotional trade that’s done for the wrong reasons. Your emotions have so overcome your normal rational decision making process that it’s quite likely that you’ve not factored in all sorts of other potential pitfalls (e.g. long-term support or resistance that you might be trading against).

Revenge emotions in this movie.

The second path to a big loss is revenge trading. There is nothing worse than a revenge trader! I know this because I’ve been there myself. A revenge trader will double down, triple down, average down, and dig themselves deeper and deeper into a position.

Never get angry with trades , market or anything whilst trading.Anger is the natural emotional response designed to protect us from danger. Your emotions respond the same whether a threat is real or part of your imagination. Anger itself is a completely rational emotion to have when you perceive the thoughts and scenarios in your mind. There is nothing irrational or wrong with the anger from imagined scenarios and beliefs. Your emotional response system is working properly. The problem is with the thoughts, beliefs, and scenarios in your mind that generate an anger response.

When in angry state ,trader is in a amygdala hijack.THe rational brain is blocked and irrational decisions can be made , when angry.

This is a very good article for all traders .

To trade succesfully a trader needs to be in a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self.

Traders make mistakes and plenty of them.

There is a thread explaining mind traps and rewiring the human brain , in the psychology section.
