Morning Stock Talk - Lieberman: Looking for clarity on an expansion
The sharp stock rally in March and April was built upon investor expectations "that the economy might be turning around." Now, Chuck Lieberman, the chief investment officer at Advisors Capital Management says "the market has been marking time to wait for more data to come in to clarify how much of a recovery is underway." He tells Steve Potisk "continued improvement in the news is what's necessary." And that is something Lieberman says is starting to show itself in what "everyone has been referring to as green shoots." While "there's a chance" stocks could retest the year's lows, he questions, "Where are the risks?" Lieberman says "we're running out of possible shoes to hit the ground."
