Morning Stock Talk - Kleintop: Less bad, but not yet good economic news

Wall Street is "taking a little bit of a breather." So says Jeffrey Kleintop, the chief market strategist at LPL Financial Services. He tells Steve Potisk just two months ago, "expectations were so low, it was very easy for companies with their earnings reports and the economic data to exceed expectations." But now, as the April retails sales demonstrate, expectations are improving, so any disappointment is greeted with selling. Kleintop says it would be "a healthy thing for the market and some of these indicators to consolidate for awhile."
