How much does metatrader cost
hello all.
i i have searched the net to find out the cost of metatreder 4 with no success so i was wondering if anybody could let me know the price of it; in monthly subscription terms and if it had to be purchsed outright

The client terminal is free. You can download it from Download MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 4 Mobile or MetaTrader 4 MultiTerminal

Okay so does this mean I can open an account with fxcm, write my own expert advisor scripts and trade through metatrader with the only cost being the initial startup deposit.
I have downloaded it but it just says its a demo.

Yes, the software itself is free. You would just have to make the deposit to get the account running.
